Executive Dashboard

A considerable and surprising amount of information is held within a payroll system. Reports can provide access to a lot of this information, but some can be better viewed via a dashboard. Our Executive Dashboard displays data using a set of widgets that display data in a graphical and easy to understand format, while still allowing the viewer to “drill down” on any data of interest to understand its source and breakdown.

All data displayed is real time data, straight from the database. Each manager can see data relating to the parts of the organisation that are below them in the reporting structure, although we can also provide other views that allow (for example) one store manager to compare their department against  another’s.

Standard widgets include:

• Head Count – a graphical view of headcount by department that can be drilled down to further show the makeup by gender.
• Full-Time Equivalent – a graphical view by department that can drill down to show the makeup by fulltime against part time and by gender.
• Staff Turnover – a graphical view of staff turnover by month that can be drilled down to identify leaving staff, department and manager.
• New Staff Turnover – a graphical view of new staff turnover by department, also with drill down.
• Service Length – A graphical view of average service length by department that can be drilled down to see makeup.
• Annual Leave Balance and Annual Leave – two graphical views of the current annual leave balance, showing a breakdown by department that can be drilled down to individual.
• Sick Leave Excess – a table showing individuals with excess sick leave.
• Service Anniversaries – a table showing staff birthdays and service anniversaries.
• Flight Risk – a table showing those staff most likely to leave based on recent patterns of leavers’ gender, age, service length, amount of last pay increase, annual leave taken and sick leave taken.
• Leave Taken – a graphical view of leave taken per employee by department that can be drilled down to see the breakdown by employee.
• Percentage of Workdays Sick – a graphical view of the percentage of workdays sick by department.

Most of the widgets can be easily customised to suit the manager and the widgets themselves can be rearranged or ones of no interest hidden from view.
